1 more month

Posted by CHAT at 3:55 PM 0 comments

When I was still pregnant with my first born, I had a very difficult time during the my first trimester. I can even recall my OB telling me to eat or else I’ll get confined in the hospital. Well, I do eat a lot then. The only problem is I puke right after I ingest the food. And it was always all the time. Whether I’m at home or dining outside, you’ll see me rushing to the nearest restroom after eating.

Now, I do still puke after eating but not as worst as before. I have a sensitive sense of smell though. Most of the time, I get irritated with various smell whether it’s a cologne or simply the smell of our room.

Also, I felt sick all the time. I would have wanted to lie on the bed if I don’t have a job. The cold makes me feeling more sick.

One more month and the first trimester is over. Hopefully by then, I can experience the joys of being pregnant.

From BabyCenter

fetaldev12 The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Kuya Joshua

DSC01979 When we learned about my pregnancy, we started to introduce the baby (inside my tummy) to Joshua. He, being surrounded with babies in our compound, easily accepts it. In fact, he always talk to the baby whenever his dad scolded him. He kissed the baby before going to bed and whenever I need to work.

One thing that I noticed though was he seemingly thought the baby was my navel, LOL! I knew that he'll be a good kuya to the baby.

Cravings #1

Posted by CHAT at 9:20 PM 0 comments

Aside from being hungry all the time (this needs a separate post) which is normal, I now started to crave for a specific food.

yellow cab new york classic When I still didn't know I am pregnant, I crave for Yellow Cab's NY Classic. We usually troop to Yellow Cab in Santana Grove during Sundays for this. I love mine sprinkled with lots of salt on it.

siomai Lately though, I've started craving for Chowking Siomai. I'd love to dip it to with soy sauce, chili and kalamansi. Yum, yum! Until when will this craving ends, that I do not know. As of now, I'd enjoy this while it lasts.

positive My monthly period is erratic, so being delayed for 2 months is sort of common to us. It was just last Jan 5 when I bought a pregnancy test kit. It was night time when I tested and when I saw 2 lines, I told hubby "Sabi ko sayo buntis ako eh. Ayan oh (pointing to the kit), dalawang line."

The husband, at first was in denial, telling me to buy another kit to double check. But I insisted I am pregnant. By then, we started to introduce the baby to Kuya Joshua.
