Jewellery for Claire

Alright, I dream of having a son first. When I first got pregnant, deep in my heart I knew there and then that I am carrying a boy. It does happen. My eldest is a boy. Eventually, when he grew a little bigger, I had a longing to have a baby girl – my own baby doll. I long to have someone I can dress like a princess or should I say I wanted to have a live Barbie. Not those boys are boring. And so when I got pregnant the second time around, I deeply wish for a girl. Luckily, it did happen. Seeing them both growing up together is such a happy moment. The love and hate relationship they both have for each other every single day. The toys they fight over, the space in the bed, my attention and everything in between. There are things they have to learn to share with each other except for one – Jewellery.

I used to long to have fine earring, necklaces, bracelets and other pieces of gold and silver not until my daughter came. Now, everything seemed to be for her. When I look into the glass display of some jewellery shop, I do not anymore see those intricate designs fitted for adults. I only see those fine, soft, and simple pieces of jewelleries for my little girl. Don’t blame me. Any mother would attest to my liking, right?

I admit my passion did not stop in malls. I seldom browse online and find myself online window shopping at TICJewellery.co.uk and wishes I can just buy all the items there. The thing is, it ain’t that easy. Well, I guess I just have to purchase little by little so by the time my little girl is old enough to appreciate it, she already has a few.

Claire speaks English!

DSC00087Well, let me rephrase the title. At 19 months, my little girl can speak three (yes, that specific) English words. I am teaching her little by little so she wouldn’t had a hard time (unlike her Kuya) mingling with her classmates when she enters preschool.

SHUSH (shoes). That’s her first word. Bad mom, I can’t remember when did she first utter that word. She has a special bond with her shoes, always love to wear them. You can hear her repeatedly say the word most especially if she wants to go out of the house. And if we were inside the mall, she would frantically say shus whenever she sees one.

NO MO (no more). I find difficulty teaching this to her as she always say nana (Tagalog word for no more) whenever she has consume the last drop of her milk. She also says nana if she has finally swallowed the food we gave her. I have to say no more everytime she says nana so she would understand that no more and nana is the same.

TATER (water). Last but not the least word for her vocabulary. She has learned to love drinking water in a glass and always asks for it by saying mamam (Tagalog baby talk for water). This is a little hard for her to say so it’s always mamam then I would correct her and say water not until I did something which made her say that word. I was eating lunch alone when she was asking for mamam and I purposely ignore her then she says tater. Nice one baby!

I just have to constantly remind my caretakers (my mom and my aunt) to keep on correcting for those three words until she’s comfortable enough to say it.

School is near

Can't believe that my little boy has finished his first year in a big school with flying colors. He has aced it well.

On a side note: The dad doesn't want him to enroll on the same school as it's kinda far from our house.

However, being the  hard-headed wife that I am, I insist to have him enroll on the same school as he is already comfortable in the way the school teaches and his friends are there. He belongs to that school now. And I believe he learns a lot from that school. With that case, the argument is already closed. I win. Hahaha!

Moving on, I have a wishlist for his schooling this year. Here it is:

1. Skip Hop Zoo Lunchie (Penguin)

2. Thermos Foogo Straw Bottle (10oz)

3. Thermos Foogo Food Jar

I hope his godparents stumble on this post so they know what to give for my little boy. Besides, he hasn’t received any birthday gift from them yet. LOL!

What’s in store for him?

Posted by CHAT at 9:37 AM 0 comments

Okay, summer is almost done. We’re almost half done for April and May is fast approaching. In a couple of weeks, it’s time to go back to school. What had happen to my son’s summer for this year? None yet.

If only our schedule permits, we could have enrolled him in summer classes. However, no one would assist him to go to the clinics as the husband and I have chaotic schedule. The husband can’t take a leave, even a single day for the next two months which actually make me annoyed. I, on the other hand, is sleeping as a log during daytime – thanks to my night shift schedule.

Hopefully on May when I change my schedule to night shift, I could enroll him in a summer class.

SUMMER PIC

First would be the Bert Lozada Swim School in Tribeca. It’ll be an hour swimming session for ten days. I – He would just have to bare the morning sun as obviously, that’ll be the schedule we will take so I can be with him during the lesson. After which, off I go to work.

He was very excited on this and even told me doesn’t want to go back to school, i.e., AAM as Sr. CASA, and just want to go to swim school. Haha!

I have to remember to buy him a new board shots and rash guard as his is way to small now for him.

McDonalds-Kiddie-Crew-Workshop-2011-summer Next would be the ever famous McDo Kiddie Crew 2011. He’s actually not yet eligible as he is only five years old but it can be waved only if he has permissions from his parents. Of course! This is still under the bridge as he might come along with his cousin if and only if Tete would be willing to shoulder their fee. Hehe! If not, the husband’s wallet is at stake.

I believe this is just for five days but I don’t know how many would they need to stay in the store. Still need to research on that.

There.. That’s what’s in store for my little boy.. Hopefully, this would materialize in May and not just fall in the long-listed plans.
